Can Naturopathic Medicine Help Me?
Naturopathic Medicine blends cutting edge medical research with ancient therapeutic practices providing a scope and depth of knowledge not found in our current medical model. Trained as primary care physicians, Naturopathic Doctors (ND’s) attend a 4-year Accredited Naturopathic medical school and study the same subjects as their MD counterparts. In addition, ND’s study Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Homeopathy, Botanical Medicine, Nutrition, Hydrotherapy, Manipulation techniques and Mind/Body Medicine.
This unique and intensive education produces doctors that view each patient through a multitude of lenses. This ability allows ND’s to identify and approach illness and dis-ease in a multi-faceted way, affording the opportunity to support each patient uniquely, offering a combination of therapies including herbalism, Ayurveda, TCM, and dietary supplementation. In my practice, I see patients of all ages, male and female. Although this form of medicine focuses on treating the individual and not the particular diagnosis, some examples of the things I see in my practice are:
What is Homeopathy?
The word Homeopathy, which comes from the Greek, through Latin into English, literally means “like disease”. The medicine is not prescribed for a particular medical diagnosis or specific disease category but for the unique way it is experienced and expressed by the individual. By treating the individual and not the disease, homeopathy has the ability to gently stimulate the body's own innate wisdom to help guide the body back to health.
Homeopathy has been practiced for generations all over the world. It can safely be used alongside conventional treatment under supervision and is regulated by the US Food and Drug Administration.

It is strongly recommended to schedule bi-weekly or monthly follow up appointments until health concerns are adequately managed. This is the best way to ensure your health goals are being met. Follow ups keep goals on track, address new challenges, and provide modifications as needed. For you convenience, Zoom appointments are available.
Each patient has different needs and I recommend follow up appointments accordingly. Typically I like to see a new patient every 3-5 weeks for the first 3 months to refine our plan as needed. Thereafter, maintenance visits are recommended every 3 months for a year. Follow ups keep our goals on track, address new challenges, and provide modifications as needed. During each follow up we will assess your progress and update our health goals as needed.
PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Cash, checks and major credit cards are accepted and payment is due at the time of service. Cancellations: 24 hours notice is required in order to prevent being billed for the appointment.
Naturopathic and homeopathic medicine offers much wisdom when it comes to optimizing our immune system in the midst of infectious disease. If you have any questions and would like personalized support during the COVID-19 pandemic, Naturopathic Doctor Lindsay Samuelson will be providing phone consultations for those infected as well as to those who are not infected in order to maximize your strategies for prevention and speedy recovery.
Here is an interesting fact: In the Flu Pandemic of 1918, the mortality rate for those treated allopathically (24,000 cases) was 28.2%. Those treated in a homeopathic hospital (26,000 cases- yes, they had those back then!) was 1.05%.
