New Kundalini Yoga Series
“Take Care of Your Back and Spine”
September 17 – October 15, 2025 (5 sessions)
Wednesdays 5:30 – 6:45p
The spine has two functions: it houses and protects the nervous system and it allows for mobility. Yoga practice can help alleviate problems in the neck, the upper back, and the lower back.
Kundalini Yoga may help you take care of the spine by re-hydrating the vertebrae to normalize structure and function. The movement of the sacrum circulates the spinal fluid. Long, deep breathing expands the ribs and the spine while stretching resets the resting tension in the muscles among the spine.
The spine is divided into regions: the neck (7 cervical vertebrae), the chest (12 thoracic vertebrae), and the lower back (5 lumbar vertebrae). During this Kundalini Yoga series, we will perform kriyas and meditations that address these three areas and begin practicing how to be kind to our spines.

Many people are searching for happiness outside of themselves. This is a fundamental mistake. Happiness is something that we are and it comes from the way that we think.
For thousand of years, the yogis, saints, and sages who developed Kundalini Yoga studied themselves. They had unshakable faith in the body’s almost unlimited capacity for health, healing, energy, and endurance. Their goals were to gain self-knowledge and to experience the higher self.
This series offers kriyas and meditations that may act as a gateway to self-knowledge. These may have an immediate positive impact and may open us to our authentic self.
