Breathing, Meditation, and Gong
A New Workshop in the Kundalini Yoga Tradition
with Mahan Priya Kaur (Linda Polter), Teacher/Practitioner
When: Tuesday, March 24
Time: 6:30-7:30 p.m.
In this one-hour workshop, participants will experience a brief pranayama (breathing techniques) and warm-ups.
Participants will then relax in corpse pose to the healing vibrations of the gong. Sound as a medium can transport the human spirit to a different state of consciousness. The creative sound and vibration of the gong allows for deep relaxation and rejuvenation.
“The sound will carry you beyond your fears. The pressure (of the vibration of the gong) will release the nervous system of many illnesses… to regenerate the parasympathetic nervous system, nothing is more powerful than the sound of the gong.” Yogi Bhajan
The workshop ends with a brief meditation; a process of controlling and transcending the waves of the mind. Meditation is for everyone because it creates a communication between you and your mind, and between your mind and your body.
Breathing, Meditation, and Gong is a workshop for everyone; no experience necessary. You can do the practice on your mat or you can do the practice sitting in a chair. This workshop is for anyone who wishes to open the heart to the higher consciousness.
