IAM® Yoga Nidra Workshop
Time: 6:30-7:30 PM
When: Sunday, December 1
Live-Streamed Event via Zoom
Coming up... January 12, February 2, March 2
These sessions are remote only through Zoom, so you may be safe and comfortable in your own home. What makes Yoga Nidra different from regular meditation? Setting an intention is an important part of the Yoga Nidra session. An intention is the conscious placement of energy in the direction we want it to go. Through the conscious use of intention, we can steer our life in the direction we want, rather than where our habits tend to take us. We need an intention to redirect our mind because our mind continues to come back to past experiences. Yoga Nidra will allow you to manifest your intention.
Important Instructions: This workshop is being offered live-streamed only. That means you will be doing the Yoga Nidra session at home. Please set up ahead of the scheduled time in a quiet space, relatively free of distractions and wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothes. The preferred position is lying on your back on the floor. You should have a pillow for your head that allows your chin to be parallel to the floor, a blanket to cover up (as your body temperature will probably drop), and perhaps a bolster or cushion behind your knees to relieve any pressure on the lower back. Alternatively, you may lie on your side or sit in a chair.
What is important is that you are comfortable in whatever position you choose and that you are able to be in relative stillness for the entire session. You will receive an email with the link once you register for this session. Please log- in prior to the start time so you will be ready to begin at 6:30p.
